VAUGHNSVILLE – Roscoe Fickel, 90, of Vaughnsville died 4:30 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Hilty Memorial Nursing Home, Pandora. He was born on October 14, 1930 in Continental to the late Arthur and Lois (Troyer) Fickel. On June 11, 1955 he married Louise Smith, who survives in Vaughnsville.

Also surviving are 2 children: Gary (Sue) Fickel of Rimer and Sandra (Steve) Kaple of Florida; 2 granddaughters; 2 great-granddaughters and 6 sisters: Bernadean Roney, Marilyn Gudakunst, Patricia Centers, Diane Neff, Susan Hitchcock and Yvonne Yeager.

Roscoe is preceded in death by 6 brothers: Paul, Robert, William, Rolland, Kenneth and Darrell Fickel.

Roscoe retired from Jeffers Crane in 1990 and was an Air Force veteran. H was a life member of both the Continental American Legion post 541 and the Ottawa VFW post 9142.

The Fickel family will hold a private service at a later date. The arrangements are by the HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, LLC, Columbus Grove.
