Larry Lee Loudon

   COLUMBUS GROVE - Larry Lee Loudon, 83, of Columbus Grove died 6:05 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.  He was born May 9, 1940 in Napoleon to the late Donald and Gladys (Vallance) Loudon.  On October 3, 1963 he married June A. Loudon, who died July 16, 2022.

   He is survived by 7 children:  Linda (Denny) Crow of Indiana, David Mansfield of Chillicothe, Cindy (Ed) Barfell of Findlay, Sandy Slane of Texas, Ron (Laura) Mansfield of Ottawa, Tom (Shaunda) Mansfield of McComb and Larry (Jan) Loudon of Lima; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and a sister:  Patty Fuller of Deland, FL

   Larry is preceded in death by a son:  Dean Mansfield; a grandson:  Jason Mansfield and 2 granddaughters:  Andrea Mettler and Nicole Loudon.

   Larry retired from Philips/Sylvainia, Ottawa after 39 years, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.  He also worked for Buckeye Tractor, Columbus Grove for over 15 years.  Larry was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 63, Ottawa.  He loved the Cincinnati Reds, the Ohio State Buckeyes and Elvis.

   There will be a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2024 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Ottawa with Deacon Dave Maas officiating.  There will be military rites by the Ottawa American Legion, VFW and AMVETS.  Visitation will be Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Columbus Grove.
