Obituary

   FINDLAY – Charles Douglas Meinardi, 75 of Findlay died 11:08 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021 at Bridge Hospice, Findlay.

   He was born September 24, 1945 in Muskegon, MI to the late Carl and Marian (Doane) Meinardi.  Survivors include his three children, Brandie (Chris) Verhoff of Cloverdale, Brian (Andrea) Meinardi of Findlay, and Scott (Emilie) Meinardi of Richmond, IN; nine grandchildren; and three siblings, Connie (John) Heinlin and Chris (Tom) Johnstone, both of Maumee, and Elizabeth (Brand) Ramsey of Bradenton, FL.   He was preceded in death by two siblings, Virginia “Ginny” Meinardi and Robert “Bob” (Steve) Meinardi.

   Charles was a retired truck driver for Pepsi.  He was in the Army Reserve and was a Christian.  He was a 1963 All-State Diver at E.L. Bowsher High School and was inducted into their Hall of Fame on October 7, 1999.  He was an All-American Diver for The Ohio State University and was a Buckeye through and through. He also went to the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in New York City in 1964.

   Celebration of Life will be at a later date.  Arrangements are being handled by Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, OH.
